Go to domains.google.com, select your desired domain from the right-hand side under “My Domains”. You’ll see the domain under “Name” click on the domain name.

01 Domain Name to Click On

Go to the left-hand bar, if it’s not there, click on the hamburger menu at the top left to open it.

02 Hamburger menu at the top left to open it

From the left-hand sidebar select, “Registration Settings”.

03 Registration Settings

On the Permissions box on the right-hand side, click on the blue text link that says “Permissions”

04 Domain Permissions

Once you’ve clicked on it, you’ll see a field to add an email address, right next to it you’ll see the permission type, in my case it says “with full permissions” and at the far right you see a button that says “Add”.

05 Domain Permissions Add User Input Field

Once you’ve typed in the email address, click on the “Add” button and now you have a new user that can edit the DNS for your Google Domain.

06 Domain Permissions Click on Add Button

Below the email address field, you’ll see what other users already have access to that particular Google Domain, with what specific permission type. At the far right, there’s a delete if you desire to delete that user.

07 Delete Button to Delete User

  1. Dani says:

What do you do if under domain permissions it says, “domain permissions for ____ are managed by Google Workspace”

  2. Efrain Lemus says:

@Dani, it sounds like your domain is managed by someone else and you don’t have full control over it. Maybe you have access to the DNS or other settings, but you’ll have to get with whoever gave you access to give you full permissions.

Or are you the owner, meaning did you personally buy the domain?
